The relationship between abnormal echocardiographic septal motion and myocardial perfusion in patients with significant obstruction of the left anterior descending artery.

چکیده
This study assesses the relationship between segmental myocardial function and coronary perfusion in patients with high-grade stenosis of the left anterior descending artery. Twenty-five patients with critical lesions (> 70%) were divided into two groups according to the absence or presence of normal echocardiographic septal motion. Twelve patients had abnormal echocardiographic septal motion (AESM) and 13 patients had normal septal motion. Septal perfusion was evaluated by intracoronary injections of radiolabeled macroaggregated albumin (MAA) particles. Of the parameters analyzed abnormal septal perfusion was best related to AESM. Among the 12 patients with AESM, ten had absent resting septal perfusion. Of the 13 patients with normal septal

متن کاملGated myocardial perfusion SPECT in patients with left bundle block but having low probability of coronary artery disease; as compared to the patients with normal electrocardiogram
Introduction: We aimed to investigate of effect of left bundle branch block (LBBB) on perfusion and functional parameters in dipyridamole Tc99m-MIBI gated myocardial perfusion SPECT which may be helpful in interpretation of myocardial perfusion imaging. Methods: We studied 70 patients with low pre-test probability of coronary artery disease in two groups: 35 patients with LBBB and 35 subject...
متن کاملDifferent aspects of transient ischemic dilation
Transient ischemic left ventricular dilation (TID) is a marker of severe and extensive coronary artery disease as well as an increased risk of adverse outcomes. The patients with more severe and extensive ischemia, multivessel-type of perfusion abnormality as well as patients with left anterior descending artery (LAD) territory perfusion abnormality have more probab...
متن کاملDetection of left ventricular asynergy by echocardiography.
The purpose of this study was to determnie if echocardiography could detect left ventricular asynergy. Forty-eight patients underwent selective coronary arteriography and cineventriculography for the evaluation of chest pain. Four patients were studied twice: three before and after myocardial revascularization and one before and after an intervening myocardial infarction. Echocardiographic M-mo...
